H3 Motor Oil
The French auto industry has long been known for its commitment to engineering uniqueness, comfort and economy. Peugeot, Citroen, Renault, Dacia, DS Automobiles – these brands have been creating cars that are distinguished by bold engineering solutions, modern diesel technologies (for example, BlueHDi, dCi) and the widespread use of diesel particulate filters (DPF) since the early 2000s. With a focus on environmental standards Euro 4–Euro 6d, French automakers began to massively introduce specific requirements for motor oils – with low sulfate ash, phosphorus and sulfur (Low SAPS), as well as increased resistance to wear and high temperatures.

Most modern French cars (approximately 2005 and newer) have narrow requirements for the type of oil. Standard API or ACEA oil is often not suitable – the requirements for engine oil are dictated by the manufacturers’ approvals, such as PSA B71 2290, PSA B71 2312, Renault RN0720, RN0700, RN0710 and the latest universal RN17.
These engines often require synthetic oils with a viscosity of 5W-30 or 0W-30, adapted to exhaust neutralization systems and long drain intervals. The oils must not only meet ACEA C2, C3 or C4 standards, but also withstand the automaker’s strict tests: for wear, engine cleanliness, thermal stability and compatibility with catalysts.

That is why the German brand LIQUI MOLY, a leader in the premium auto chemicals segment, has created a specialized line of Top Tec motor oils

Top Tec 4300 5W-30 engine oil
- Reliable protection of the diesel particulate filter (DPF);
- Reduced emissions into the environment;
- Long catalyst life.
PSA B71 2290 usually meets ACEA C2 (and sometimes C3) class and requires the use of low-viscosity motor oils with excellent fluidity, such as 5W-30, 0W-30 or 0W-20 – depending on the specific model and manufacturer’s recommendations.

H4 Top Tec 4310 0W-30 Engine Oil
The approval that characterizes Top Tec 4310 0W-30 engine oil is PSA B71 2312, which
is one of the most modern standards developed by the PSA Group (Peugeot, Citroen,
DS Automobiles) for new generations of engines, especially those that meet Euro 6 standards
and have catalytic converter systems (SCR) and particulate filters (DPF/FAP).
This approval may belong to the Mid SAPS (Sulphated ash content: ≤ 0.8%) or Low SAPS (Sulphated ash content: ≤ 0.5%) categories and is usually based on the ACEA C1 or C2 specification – it provides for the use of engine oils with an ultra-low content of sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur, which is critical for the long service life of DPF and converters. In this case, Top Tec 4310 0W-30 belongs to Mid SAPS as it has the ACEA C2 specification and the corresponding sulfated ash content.
